Platform Engineer
Job Description
Enterprize Software is searching for a proficient Platform Engineer who brings extensive experience in building, deployment, release automation, and orchestration. The ideal candidate would be familiar with major cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code environments, and containerization tools.
The role necessitates supporting cloud applications and infrastructures and managing deployments in a Linux environment. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing and optimizing our engineering processes, ensuring we deliver our clients the highest level of service.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of our Platform Engineer include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing and streamlining building, deployment, and release automation processes.
- Managing cloud infrastructures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Supporting and maintaining cloud applications.
- Implementing infrastructure-as-code environments.
- Managing automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing environments.
- Navigating continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and practices.
- Operating containerization tools such as Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
- Deploying applications and services on a Linux environment.
- Aiming for automation to enhance user experience wherever possible.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integrations and protocol alignments.
- If not already obtained, commit to acquiring Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within six months of hire.
Requirements
Security Clearance: TS/CI is required.
Mandatory requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years experience in building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration.
- Proven expertise with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrable experience with infrastructure-as-code environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Experience managing and deploying in a Linux environment.
- TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability in identifying and implementing automation to better user experience.
- Scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
- System integration expertise with protocols like JSON, REST, and XML.
- Familiarity with using JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
- A cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Certified Professional – Cloud Architect, or MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
