Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Reliability Engineer for our Operations & Sustainment Team. Our ideal candidate would be someone with a comprehensive knowledge of IT environments, software applications, and technical frameworks. They should have a proven record of providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and exhibit a constant zest for learning and enhancing their technical expertise. The ability to monitor system dashboards, prioritize tasks, independently execute operations support processes, and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is crucial.

Experience in managing and deploying applications in a Linux environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and maintaining system dashboards.
Effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple operational support tasks.
Accurately following and updating existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Managing and deploying applications and services in a Linux environment.
Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to clients and users.
Continuously updating and expanding technical expertise.
Preparing for and obtaining Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within six months of hire.

Requirements

Security Clearance: TS/CI is mandatory.

Skills and experience beneficial for the role:

Broad knowledge of IT environments, software applications, and technical environments.
Experience in Tier 1 and Tier 2 support roles.
Demonstrated ability in managing and deploying applications and services in a Linux environment.
Proficiency with Jira Service Desk or other incident management and request fulfillment tools would be advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in service desks, operations teams, or other technical roles such as network engineer or system administrator.
Proficiency in networking, system administration, Linux, or Cloud engineering.
Excellent attention to detail.
Superior customer support, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
